People in the area know of it as the "large white house on Buffalo Road" and many of them know of the rich and fascinating history surrounding the home. Riverside Canoe in Crumpler, North Carolina offers Canoeing in Northeastern Ashe County offers canoe, kayak, tube and bike rentals. Our self guided New River paddling trips range from 2 hours to 8 hours or overnight guided trips. If you're not sure what trip to take, give us a call and we'll be happy to go over the details of each New River Canoeing trip with you. If you have never paddled before or it’s been a long time lessons are available.
We offer many North Carolina Mountain lodging options from rustic camping cabins to full facility NC vacation rentals with hot tubs, all located on or within minutes of Riverside Canoe and Tube Rentals. We have the facilities to accommodate large groups including reunions, church gatherings, scout troops and weddings. Riverside Canoe is within a short drive to Jefferson and West Jefferson and convenient to Boone, Blowing Rock, Sparta and the Blue Ridge Parkway, as well as the High Country ski areas.
The rustic cabins do not have plumbing or electricity but campers have use of our bath houses with hot showers. Each cabin has a queen size air mattress on a frame with a sleeping loft that will sleep up to 2 in sleeping bags (available April to Mid November). Our Riverbend Retreat is a cozy log cabin vacation rental which offers 3 bedrooms, 2 baths, a hot tub and all the comforts of home. The Pierce House is country cottage charm combined with a log cabin look on the interior. Located on 10 acres there is plenty of room for the kids to roam or if you have horses we have a grazing area and horse ring available. This house offers 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, a hot tub and so much more!
